almost all cut out, on the light table
here is baby j's story, from kim, her momma:
Baby J is a Boston Terrier. She is 24 months old, and weighs in at a hefty 8.7 lbs. Aside from just being totally adorable, she's just not quite all there. And in spite of her daddy being a beautiful Champion, she has several issues such as... she has a tongue that is too long, she can see around corners without turning her head (gotta love those googly eyes!!), she has a very mild case of ESP (elongated soft palate), and she had some obvious leg issues right from the start. Just before Baby J turned a year old, a vet friend checked her LP's. A short while ago, Baby J was brought in for xrays so that it was officially confirmed. She is now diagnosed with a Grade4 Luxating Patella in her left leg. However, her vet also recommends I have the surgery done ASAP because her muscles in the affected leg are becoming severely atrophied. Surgery for the little munchkin has been estimated high end at right around $1500. My husband has been off work on state industrial with a broken foot, and of course, I am currently unemployed(anyone hiring?). I've siphoned off as much as I can from where I can, but I just don't have the funds to pay for her much needed surgery. And little by little, we're narrowing down the gap on this fundraiser. There have been many generous people, and I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. It won't be long at all now, and Baby J will have her surgery.
**BABY J UPDATE** Baby J had a minor setback. We were waiting to spay her after her LP surgery, however, Baby J was diagnosed with Pyometra this past week and had an emergency spay performed. She is recovering slowly but surely, but the additional veterinarian charges have put a pretty hefty dent in our fund. Her surgery may need to be postponed another month or so until we can replace those funds.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!
Thanks, Kim
