victorian rose (victorian panel #2 of 3)

this panel has such an old world feel! the rose glass looks like something salvaged and the frame gives it a prim and proper backbone. comes with hardware installed, ready to hang and enjoy for years to come.

$350 includes: stained glass panel, gorgeous frame, hardware AND shipping and handling (if in US). approx 14.5 x 19.5.

attention fans of the victorian panel! i now have TWO similar panels in the works. here's a preview of "victorian rose."

this is the same pattern as the original victorian. i chose a pale, hammered rose glass for the field and a gorgeous amethyst streaky glass for the corners. for the borders, i couldn't resist using the swirly art glass from the first victorian. i think this will be a very rich, delicate looking piece!

this is the frame i intend to use.

you say you want a (red) revolution?

i can't say enough nice things about my neighbor, joe, and his committment to excellence. how can someone take ordinary PINE and make it look like luxurious EBONY? well, that's joe for ya! another GREAT job, my friend.

i ended up fairly pleased with the BLUE revolution piece, so i've started another one. this time it will be reds, oranges and yellows. as of now, i don't expect any clear/textured glass. pics soon!

spider web! spider web!

UPDATE: this piece has been a less than cooperative. i've assembled and disassembled it, and almost taken a hammer to it! lol. i'm NOT happy with the glass choices, so i'm stepping away for now to try and gain perspective. i'll keep you posted...

victorian panel preview

i've had this gorgeous swirly art glass for 10 years, never knowing exactly what to do with it. enter my sweet neighbor, joe! he said he'd been kicking around an idea for a frame, and told me to start thinking about the panel to go in it. i knew instantly what was going in there! the pattern (and the glass) took shape in my mind like a lightning bolt.

so, here's a preview of the panel. joe's working on a stain for the frame.

keep your eyes peeled...this is going to be a show stopper!

here comes the sun (a mini one!)

i was heartbroken after the wind blew the piece, hard sun, out of the window. i'm happy to report, it's repairs are almost complete AND i was inspired to make another (baby) sun. this mini sun is approx 10 in and is seriously showcased to the max by my sweet neighbor's fabulous frame. we're currently testing stains for the frame...after that, this mini sun is ready for it's new home!

here's a preview:
